The Origins of the NSA
The Northchurch Sports Association was formally established as a registered charity in 1947. In the wake of World War II, the Association was founded with a clear, singular vision: to ensure that the land known as The Meadow would be forever preserved for the “recreation and leisure-time occupation” of the inhabitants of Northchurch and the surrounding area.
A Community Effort
For over 89 years, the Association has acted as the custodian of this green space. What started as a modest plot of land has grown into a premier local sporting destination, survived through the dedication of volunteers, local fundraisers, and the passion of our member clubs.
Our Charitable Status (No. 302437)
As a registered charity, we operate under a strict “Trust Deed.” This means:
Non-Profit
Every penny of surplus income is used to improve the pitches, the pavilion, and the equipment.
Public Benefit
We exist to improve the physical and mental wellbeing of our community through sport.
Sustainability
We work to ensure that children in Northchurch today will have the same sporting opportunities as their grandparents did in 1947.
